    A perfect example of ignorance. How the hell does increasing the fuse size solve your problem seeing as the existing smaller amp fuse isn't being blown???

    sounds like the socket legs have rusted and a simple unplugging-replugging solved that.

    So the fix unfixed itself this morning...sure enough it's back to begin fucked up...BUT it's on the other side...so yes where I moved the socket...which pretty much says it's the socket.

    But it's a fucking new socket! so I have the old socket which started all this and a brand spanking new genuine part socket doing the same thing...but clearly it's the socket because it's switched to the other side now I moved it.

    I wonder what the odds are of buying a fucked up socket with exactly the same problem as the problem one.

    I had a similar experience once when I replaced the headlight wiring harness. I put a new OEM wiring harness in that has a socket for an HID ballast instead of a socket for halogen low beams. The new harness uses all the same turn signal bulbs, but for whatever reason the turn bulbs fit in upside down, with one element glowing super bright constantly, and one element blinking at exactly the opposite time than all other turn bulbs when hazards are on.I ended up just cutting/ soldering the old turn bulb sockets onto the new harness.

    i'm not really up on newer computerized cars but in the old days i did learn that having a bad erth lead off your battery can cause all sorts of crazy electrical problems. might be worth taking it off and giving it a good clean with a wire brush just to be sure before fucking around with anything else.

    it certainly seems like you're getting too high voltage going to the bulb which is why its blowing so quickly. most likely a computerized problem tho considering the age of the car. i fucking hate computerized cars. computers are for watching porn not controlling simple things like indicater lights ffs, which worked perfectly fine long before computerized cars.

    We talking an 1157 or 1357 bulb?

    Those things get rusty. I always put a lil bit of bulb grease in there. I had the same issue a cpl weeks ago.

    Light would come on the dash saying the bulb was out,and it wouldn’t work,then work a while,then not...went on until I replaced the bulb and put a lil grease in there.

    thats the wrong way to go about it.

    simply scrape the terminals against the concrete or the assphalt and do the screw/unscrew thing a few times.
