   'industrial' music was originally an extreme form of performance art, after TG, SPK and pals got attention it just got slapped on everything because the label sounded cool. if anything groups like EN with a major 'artistic' performance component are closer to the original meaning

   Performance art was only one aspect of it.
   Industrial music was a genre of music that Throbbing Gristle created and no one has really recreated since.
