2019-08-05 at 3:44 PM UTCI might be stupid and I know this is barely relevant to the thread but isn't there a way to mirror cloudflare entry point so it looks like you're getting DDOS'd but just abscond with all the loot? Pretty sure that's how I got jhoo'd of my mintpal shekels.

Dunno what you're talking about, do you have more details?
Also apparently:

when this was being hacked, cloudflare acted like it was being ddos'd and couldn't do shit meanwhile it was a fake page to make it look like a hack when it was internal -

Yep. That's what they do. They rip off their own customers while staging fake hacks. Even the cops themselves steal when they investigate these places for stealing. -
2019-08-05 at 5:44 PM UTCCloudflare a shit, technically their approach of MitM'ing their customers is pretty questionable and requires way too much trust that they're not going to fuck you, tamper with traffic, or sell your data. And after the daily stormer incident this should surprise no one.
I mean I used them for a while, it's easy to use and does have _some_ benefits. I can see the appeal. But it was a happy day when we switched NiS to ISS and got rid of it. -
2019-08-05 at 5:48 PM UTC8ch is now officially dead
Here are some threads I have loaded up from last night, this is probably the last time I'll ever read anything from there.
I acknowledge its importance for being the hub for mass shooters and patriots taking down a corrupt system but at the end of the day it was just another newfag imageboard
how many of you kids ever even went to iichan back in the day?
you punks ruined imageboard culture permanently -

8chan is still down as their reseller/host was also shoahed from their "cloud" services company.
I dunno how anyone could trust these shitty companies after seeing this sort of shit happen.
All they had to do was do nothing. -

The FBI pays good tax dollars to get these sites to do what they do. They sure as hell aren't doing it just be good citizens. -

Imageboards used to be extremely unique and original back in the early to mid 00s.
In 2005 when I started going to 4chan I would constantly come across all these unique memes and cultural references that back then as an American were so alien and the people at the time were gen xers in college so there was a certain standard of quality you won't find these days.
Imageboards of today resemble NOTHING of their original forebears.
Such a shame really, 2000 - 2006 was the golden age for the web. -
2019-08-05 at 10:09 PM UTCoh boy, "unique memes and cultural references". What a treasure trove of culture. Someone should put my 4chan shitposts in a museum.

True. Now you've just got power hungry, drunk, terrible admins, who ban people for the slightest deviation in a discussion thread, just because they don't personally like them. We've come a looooong way from the golden days of freedom of speech and the open right of expression. -

2000 - 2006 definitely was the golden age, if only because it was the point in time where it was becoming more broadly accessible, web pages became more user friendly, but it wasn't so openly accessible and user friendly that fringe content had been scoured from existence to appease normies. There will literally never be a comparable moment in history, I don't think. So much weird, retarded, funny, interesting, and borderline criminal content. A rare glimpse into what humans are actually like without the normie-fying effect of real social pressure. -

It's a fucking shame how that place has ended up.
I go on to /mu/ and say nigger once and then I'm banned for two days and that whole place is literally THE SAME GODDAMN THREADS THAT STARTED APPEARING IN 2009.
I go to /r9k/ and it's a bunch of goddamn normie WOMEN zoomers posting their pics asking people if they're attractive and a bunch of faggot fuck niggers crying about not getting laid FUCKING FUCKS.
/pol/ is the only decent place there anymore but it has become completely overrun with spam threads, FBI bait and clueless liberals and sjws trying to "turn" the users to their side.
I miss the days when I would go to /new/ and see red blooded Americans talking about serious topics like how to get the niggers out of our country or just joking about jews.
I miss /b/ when they actually put forth effort to make creative and original content.
I miss the creative and original millennial culture, zoomers are braindead zombies that only follow they cannot create.
And it's not just 4cahn, iichan is dead, wtfux is gone, 4-ch has gone nowhere.
My favorite era of the internet is dead.
Heck even TOTSE is gone.
There is absolutely no place on the internet anymore that feels special or unique, it's just a circlejerk of normies trying to influence each other. -

"If you build it they will come"
We can't sit here and wait for those days to return, we have to create them ourselves. -

Lanny made it painfully clear that's exactly the way he wants it here. If he wanted truly topical forums with truly honest discussion, he would have made that happen. Instead, he just wanted a place where the kidiots and attention-whores could come and wag their dicks and spam up all the forums; that's the kind of environment Lanny personally likes, which is quite evident from the way he operates this BBS.. playing favorites, arbitrary deletions, overreactions, talking like a black gangster, etc.. -
