AI's a nebulous buzzword so it really means nothing, but the system does a lot of data analysis (probably using 'deep learning' since everything is nowadays) in order to interpret and answer questions. I wouldn't really argue against it employing some form of AI unless you're using a specific, strict definition of it -

Um videogames work within the programming and set parameters too..that's why it's called AI and not just I...there is no real thinking/intelligence in any of it.
Artificial cheese isn't really cheese either. -

You opened up a can of worms.
Is cheese subjective?
If an artificial thing exists, it exists. If artificial cheese isnt cheese, what is it ? -

2019-07-31 at 5:54 PM UTCThat's the psychological marketing trick behind the term...to make you think of something even though the reality is it's really not what it's making you think of.
You call something artificial cheese and you are going to try and use it as you would cheese.
You call something Turkey bacon and you'll have it with your eggs in the morning or with lettuce and tomato on a sandwich and still call it a BLT.
You suck on a fake titty and you forget the fact you're sucking on a saline bag covered in skin etc. -
2019-07-31 at 5:58 PM UTCMany years ago I used to work for a company that designed and sold fashion accessories (including gloves and hats and shit).
Now the cheapo gloves were not selling very well so the boss had the idea to put a tag on them that said "THERMAL" with a flame next to it...sales of that glove tripled.
Now think about that, what the fuck does thermal mean...well in relation to clothing it just means it keeps you warm..well every fucking thing keeps you warmer than being naked (well except maybe silk).
It's a similar marketing trick as to calling consumable plastic "Imitation cheese" is.
Remember when the internet got popular and every modem would have "internet ready" stamped on them...well of course they are internet ready, it's a fucking modem. -

Learning algorithms aren't intelligence. Goldfish have a better ability to adapt, and you'd hardly call them intelligent. It's only intelligent once it is cognizant. Like you said, it's just a buzzword for whatever is new in technology. We aren't anywhere near emulating actual intelligence. -
