Originally posted by HTS Open carry is probably actually safer, tbh. At least when dealing with cops. Having seen at least one black dude get shot after announcing he was (legally) carrying a concealed weapon, it'd be a lot better if the cops could see where your gun is to put everyone at ease. That said, concealed carry keeps liberal fannies from having panic attacks every time they walk into a McDonalds, so there's some merit to concealed carrying for their peace of mind.
Optimally everyone would familiarize themselves with firearms and become comfortable with the idea of seeing them in public (open carry culture), but I don't see that ever happening. Genuinely seems as though many are equally as afraid of owning/using a firearm as they are of having one used against them. Which is unfortunate.
"where she conceals her weapon will shock you."
"what she conceals will shock you even more." -

This is a problem of cops being irrational pusses, it has nothing to do with open vs concealed carry. Your carry choice literally shouldn't need to include the stupidity of cops at all. If anything going for an open carried weapon would have gotten those people killed quicker. That said, concealed carry keeps liberal fannies from having panic attacks every time they walk into a McDonalds, so there's some merit to concealed carrying for their peace of mind.
You don't need to be a liberal fanny to not want people to display their weapons like a moron.
Having a gun on you factually makes you the most dangerous person in the room. The question is why you would want to broadcast that to the room, unless have the intention of changing other people's behaviour towards you in light of that fact.
I.e. you have a tiny penis and want to display your gun to be a big man.Optimally everyone would familiarize themselves with firearms and become comfortable with the idea of seeing them in public (open carry culture), but I don't see that ever happening. It literally has no relation to your familiarity with firearms.
Just replace it mentally with a guy open carrying a big knife on his chest. Pretty much everyone is familiar with knives but that's not the problem.
Someone is carrying around a dangerous weapon and advertising themselves as potentially dangerous, then people treat them as potentially dangerous... Wow what a surprise, you aren't being treated just like someone who does not advertise their possession of a deadly weapon. -

Not if everyone has a gun and is equally familiar with guns. Or not if "most people" have a gun. It's fucked up when there's one guy with a gun, but if there's 20 guys? Not as big of a deal.
?_?
There's a reason I mentioned what a shame it was that most people are too afraid to use guns themselves. Because guys with guns would be a lot less scary in a world where they weren't a tiny minority. -
2019-07-23 at 11:54 AM UTCI prefer to wear my guns on my head like a hat.

2019-07-23 at 12:02 PM UTCA chunk of metal isn't any more a threat than a chunk of cheese. Guns don't levitate to a position of pointing at someone and then activate themselves.

Yeah exactly you fucking retard, and it does if they don't: not everybody wants to have to carry a gun to feel safe because some people do. That's the point you illiterate. This discussion is about OPEN CARRY, the DISPLAY of your weapon, which is fucking retarded. It's fucked up when there's one guy with a gun, but if there's 20 guys? Not as big of a deal.
How about if there's 0 guys displaying their guns and the amount of actual guns in the room is not a question that needs to be considered until the answer becomes "at least 1 that's being put to use by a bad actor".There's a reason I mentioned what a shame it was that most people are too afraid to use guns themselves. What's scary is the potential of living in a world where a bunch of people need to carry a gun to feel safe at Walmart. -

Non sequitur. I responded to "carry a gun", no mention of Open carry in what I quoted. You can't open carry in Walmart anyway so moot. (EDIT: well it seems some stores do allow it after a bit of googling) -

Again you didn't mention open carry in the quote I responded too.
Comprehension, it's what's for breakfast. -
2019-07-23 at 12:23 PM UTCFace it
Sooner or later open carry will be a very common thing
Society is heading towards major conflict and soon there will be a civil war again

The irony is amazing, lmao.
This entire thread is about open carry. I literally said in that comment how that argument had nothing to do with oc vs cc. Every single post I've made so far has been about open carry. Because you would only see any increase in a need to carry a gun due to the DISPLAY of guns.
You are actually fucking illiterate. Don't talk to me about athletic abilities you god damned failure. -
