Sometimes. My Grandma died within a few weeks of being diagnosed but she was sick for years always getting pneumonia and stuff, my grandpa also had heart cancer and survived. They both smoked for years quitting in the mid 2000's and they lived in a rural area that gets routinely sprayed with chemicals for orchards and the area they lived has radon gas.

But this other guy I knew had lung cancer and was sick for years, accepted he was gonna die and got a double lung transplant and lived another year.

Sorry to hear Tech. Sounds like you'll be aight tho, we hope. I have a few aunts who've had breast cancer caught in early stages and they are both totally good now, complete remission. I feel like you'll be in that club in no time too.

Would you get a double lung transplant to live another 12 months?

Not sure if I’d do that. Lots of painful recovery, then there’s always the chance of organ rejection. It takes ya 9 mo to recover, with 3 months to live.

Hey thanks dudes, but no more sorry.

This tough cookie is gonna be fine.

Having an organ transplant and your body rejecting the organ has to be one of the scariest things i can think of. If your body wants to reject it there's not much you can do.

Transplant technology has gotten so much better, but there’s still rejections, and you’re correct, not a thing you can do about it. I worked for a big institution that did a lot of transplants and transplant research.

So why is breast cancer so much more common these days? What are women doing to their boobs that causes this?

Guys don’t have to have moobs to get breast cancer. Young guy came in once, probably 150 soaking wet. He had a tumor under his nipple. Breast cancer for men is a whole different animal.

    Yanno Hella,
Not sure I know why. Maybe it’s just more in our faces with all these breast cancer awareness activities. I know the technology of detection is so precise anymore.

This is why I don't go to doctors. They're gonna tell me I have 3 cancers too many. I know it. Those little pains at 2am? Cancer. Get high and focus on some bump thats always been there? Its fuckin cancer. Every time i drink? Probably gonna give me cancer.
