Whenever I'm on it they cut me off randomly which usually fucks up my life. That's why I applied for all those jobs because I still haven't got my check yet. -

Yeah, the so-called "welfare" system is pretty bunk, even for a country known the world over for it's progressiveness.
And don't get me started on the whole catch-22 situation of becoming less employable as a function of time spent being unemployed.

How would that work? The whole thing about welfare is that it's so little that it doesn't even matter to anyone. I'm not talking about incentivizing welfare...
I just mean that, at least around here, welfare pays well below the absolute minimum required to live.
You'd be lucky to be able to afford to rent a space on the floor of some crack shack for your entire monthly welfare check.
Then you're left having to panhandle, forage in dumpsters, or straight up steal, in order to merely feed yourself.
Back when I was on regular welfare (like 6-7 years ago), I was damn lucky to find an illegal basement suite for only $500 a month. My monthly check was for $550. I had $50 to cover phone bill, groceries, transportation, soap, toilet paper, etc, for an entire month. -
