Also, something the dishonest idiots inevitably fail to mention is that international law requires that the so-called "asylum seeker" MUST, by law, seek asylum at the first nearest port of entry. The United States is not the first nearest port of entry for these people, so not only are they thumbing their noses at American law, they are also thumbing their noses at international law. -

I unironically agree, mostly. While I see the US abusing its position and relentlessly exploiting anyone it can, any other country in the same position as a hegemon would likely do the same. the days of a single 'great power' are over though, so while that problem starts to fade away we'll likely see others in the form of shifting alliances with the same self-serving goals -
