Come on guys. Let's get on it. Let make it happen!

Buy/build cheap lamp
Connect your rpi device in parallel with the light bulb as explained in the link
Hide the rpi device and wiring inside the lamp
Gift lamp to your target
Replace "lamp" with electrical device of your choice, the more likely your target is to leave the device energized the better -

Seems pretty normal to me.
You need a USB power supply right? Are you going to install the whole power supply in there too? If you just rig up the USB power lines in parallel with 120v from the wall I'm pretty sure you're going to blow up your device. -

Yes you need to transform AC to DC got most electronics. -

You trying to MitM the oven controls or wot? If you are trying to set fire to the hotel you don't need an rPi for that. Strategically placed electronic cooking timer where you hook up a transistor to where the little speaker ordinarily would be and have it switch something like 9v/12v battery to initiate an electric match when you want to. You set the time on the cooking timer then carefully attach your electric match.
If you cut a hole in the gas line of the stove and you put your little device near a window that is a bit ajar(It has to be near an oxygen source or it will just choke). There'll be some fireworks.
Seems like a fair solution. Add magnesium wire initiated thermite for extra bang for your buck, at least as far as fire is concerned. If you make a copper(II)oxide based thermite you will literally have a bang. -
2019-06-30 at 9:42 AM UTCI did not read the rest of the thread, but explosions are always the solution.

Yes. I have one as well. I have the converter part. I found an easy supply that I can get for free.
Its all fairly small. I was poking around my motel this weekend and I can make it happen. Then we can all meet up on the server and attack hotel guests using the wifi and other shenanigans. -
