2019-06-17 at 2:51 AM UTCAlso, trump saying the article is treason is worrying, say they try assange, clamping down on reporting would be the next step if it wasn't just signalling.

Breaking treaties is an american tradition, kosovo just stands out because they unilaterally redrew the border, russian actions in georgia look very similar to what nato did. US fucked up iraq and libya, they stepped in in syria. -
2019-06-17 at 2:58 AM UTCI mean, not having a cold war is great, and i am happy Germany is finally in one piece again, but when the USSR exited the chat America was like...
Hmmm...
Wait a second...
Now i'm the only super power in the world. We can do what we want! -

This is true but Khrushchev made many more mistakes than that. Allowing Belarus is succeed at all was a huge one, as well as allowing the central asian corridor to open up -

It's funny when (former)commies are decentralizing while the land of the free encroaches on everyone's liberties. -
2019-06-17 at 3:28 AM UTCAmerica is by far and away the #1 country, and is basically the representative of planet Earth. Whenever you talk about anything without a reference point, you assume it's probably about the US, and all other countries are forced to constantly think about us at all times, usually before they even think about their own.
I haven't yet successfully imagined how it would feel to be from another country. -

Maybe that would be true if the Ziocons didn't have your country by the balls. -

1. giving away Belarus gave us Lukashenko so it's all OK with me
2. if he hadn't (illegally) given the Ukraine stewardship of the Crimea it would've saved us a lot of trouble over the last few years -
2019-06-17 at 7:51 AM UTCunfinished next thread in case I don't get around to writing more:

2019-06-17 at 10:32 AM UTCGo Yemen, blow up all the oil pipelines. I don't even care if i can't buy gas.

2019-06-17 at 10:41 AM UTCI'm all for Muslim on Muslim jihad. But let's get real here, if there's one branch of Islam that's cancer it's Wahabi/Salafist Islam from KSA.
In other news, Shanghai Cooperation Organization had a summit a couple of days ago. It looks like Russia is getting ready to export more energy to China. Which is good, because this means Russia won't be affected as much by EU/USA/NATO "sanctions". -

Nice. Somewhat worrying though, did you hear about the merchant ships that got torpedoed near the straight of Hormuz recently? Or hit mines, i am somewhat fuzzy on the details. But last i heard everyone was blaming everyone but it's probably the j'ews. -

Yup, Russia and Iran are moving fuel to China and away from the markets that sanctions can touch them, which also benefits China through lower costs and the ability to trade in their own currency. Even the EU is looking at trading with others (specifically Russia and China) in their own currencies rather than the dollar.
Speaking of the SCO summit, Putin had some interesting things to say about 'technology war' and the US rapidly losing its ability to impede other nations from reaching 'peer' status in terms of 'high-tech' production -

Didn't see that post. It wasn't a mine or a torpedo because the damage was (significantly) above the waterline. US navy released a grainy video they claim depicts an Iranian patrol removing a limpet mine from one of the ships, but the video is too poor to determine anything, and neither the use of limpet mines nor them being removed afterwards makes any sense in this context.
Crew on the Japanese-Philippino ship report seeing flying objects just before the attack, and as I posted above both ships were attacked almost simultaneously from the side facing AWAY from Iran; the attackers approached from the Arabian Peninsula. All things considered my guess is israeli drones with small munitions specifically chosen NOT to sink the ships, as modern anti-ship missiles in use by all major regional militaries do significantly more damage than the small holes that were photographed. -

but israel is in the same direction as iran relative to the ships. -
