I like cassettes, my dad used to have an old truck with a cassette player in it before he died, preferred records though.

yeah i grew up with them but they were fucking awful things. all that rewind and fast forwarding. you spent more time doing that than listening to the fucking things, lol.

You just listened the whole way through. They actually worked great. One of those things you nearly forgot about.

You can only be nostalgic about something you actually see. No one nostalgic about a hard drive for instance.

I used to like my little Walkman, and the 40GB hard drive based iPod I replaced it with. The iPod was like £550 in 2003.

    I'd never go back though.

you know i rarely find an album where i ever want to listen to every track on it. i tend to have a few faves i'll listen more to after i've heard them all.

and even if you wanted to ff to the second track, its like ten times till you got exactly to the start. have to keep guessing just to find you went too far, then went too far back again. they were a fucking nightmare. and don't even get me started on recording quality. i'm truly glad cassette are now history, CDs are way superior in every way.

oh and when your fave album gets all chewed up in the mechanism of the tape player. even the top of the range pioneer stereo i had would do that from time to time.

    fuck tapes.
