You'd expect God to send the messiah when there is technology to record and document his word.

    no prophet ever came that wasn't laughed at and scored upon at first. some were even sentenced to die, like Abraham, Moses, Joseph, Jesus and Muhammed. Of all of them only Jesus was actually killed though, and on his sentencing he told them "I die for your sins", that is, their unbelieving and their selfishness, but the Roman elite, first to adopt Christianity as an esoteric cult and later as a formal religion twisted the meaning of his words and said "he died so that all our bullshit could be forgiven", when in fact it meant "your bullshit has brought me to my death".

    Still, no prophet was actually believed in his time. Only when his threat came was that people started to listen.

    i think the whole point of the coming of the messiah is for people to kind of realize whats happening without being told
