My best advice for the best thing you can ever do to improve your life: once you plan to do something, do it. Follow-through is the most powerful thing out there. That's how all these billionaires get to where they are. They really aren't that smart at all. It's just that they stick to a commitment they've made themselves. So it's like a penny jar. You only put in a penny every day, and after 30 years you end up with a sizable chunk of cash. It's the process itself which creates this payoff, not the amount you put in every day. You decide to apply for a job. You do it. You decide to clean the bedroom. You do it. You decide to get into shape. You do it. It's the not doing the thing decided which causes the failure in process, which then results in a loss or disadvantage or lost opportunity.

That's because I proved already that the only people that have habits are fettered spirits.
Your thread was built on a weak premise.

Pay yourself first. Out of every paycheck, put at least 15% of it towards investments and savings. Of course, this is after paying off all your debt (only exception is your mortgage). If you do this, you will have a nice chunk of change when you become unable to work and earn an income.

wash every dish as soon as you're done with it.
