Originally posted by Helladamnleet No, OCD is a real thing. Some examples are people who need to shut the door X amount of times, or say a phrase when turning off a light Y amount of times. That is real. There is no such thing as 'mild" OCD like Bill Krozby describes. Wanting your things in a certain place isn't OCD, it's wanting your god damned things where you want them in your god damned living space. Sitting how you're comfortable is literally not OCD, it's common ass sense.
I guess what pisses me off is dumb broads who are all 'omg im soooo ocd XD XD' because they have a specific order for Starbucks, like, stfu you stupid ass cunt.
No, that's retarded 1337. Like every mental illness, OCD is a spectrum, from virtually nonexistent to full blown. -

Idk about that, holmes. To say that there is no such thing what-so-ever has legitimate mental illness is a pretty bold statement. I'm saying that 99.9999999% of it is bullshit, but there is that incredibly rare case. -

Yeah, for sure. When blondie-self-diagnosey posts on facebook "I.HAVE.OCD."
>>SO STRONG GIRL, STAY STROOOONG!!!!
Yeah, I agree, annoying habits are not ocd.
A lot of people do indeed water it down by using the term so liberally and saying they have disorders that they don't clinically have. Keyword- clinically. However, people that fall short of the arbitrary "clinical" line are still likely on the spectrum so long as the symptoms significantly interfere with their day to day life. -

Key phrase being 'significantly interfere' not 'mildy inconvenienced them'

1000% sure you don't have even the mildest form of obsessive compulsive disorder. -
2019-05-20 at 1:53 AM UTCI think I have some OCD traits to add to my ADHD.
I’m a complete neat freak, that has to have everything in “its” place. If one thing is moved or turned, I know it. My friends used to move shit just to see how long it took me to realize it. My hubby still does it 😂. Everything has only one logical way of doing it, and once I find that logical way, I do it the same way every damn time. I have to be completely organized or I feel out of sorts.
Not sure if all that fits into OCD, but I’m still nuts😜 -
2019-05-20 at 1:56 AM UTCI've never been diagnosised with anything because I'm perfectly normal.
Just an everyday people. -

I described in my op that I'm against Instagram ho's that do that kind of stuff. Mine is pretty severe to where it has caused me trouble for decades. Never once mentioned anything about ordering Starbucks lmao -

You're not a doctor. Ive been to one for it.and I do the things you mentioned like closing doors compulsively.. pretty sure I know what I'm talking about since I've been diagnosed and living with it for years
it was so severe another doctor tested me for pandas and when that came back negative they concluded I have ocd. it runs in my family

2019-05-20 at 2:45 AM UTCI have to do things a certain number of times. Usually 8 times. Its a bitch but I do it. Not sure its OCD, but its something to add to my mental health symptoms.

2019-06-01 at 10:24 PM UTCEvery time I catch myself acquiring a repetitive disorder I remember to fuck it up. For instance with regard to handwashing, turning off lights, even religious things like donating or lighting candles. Routine is the enemy of innovation.
