I think it's the same here...they are cheap and just comply with the general "rule" rather than have to pay to keep the pools clean...even though it's already 90f everyday.
Could go to Galveston and swim in the Gulf but you just end up vomiting and glowing in the dark for 3 weeks...not worth it. -

In sunnier climates people have swimming pools, they generally only use them in the winter though due to the ground temperature making the water cold and the expense of heating a pool. So public/community pools etc have a season, Memorial day through labor day or something like that.
The equivalent in england would be getting under the garden hose on July 17th when it gets up to 74F and the next days newspaper with the headline "74F..what a scorcher!!" along with a picture of some chick in a park eating an ice cream -

2019-05-07 at 10:21 PM UTCStrange about the owning a gun thing.
KHOU 11 was able to Verify that Texas Penal Code Sec 46.04 allows for a person with a felony conviction to possess a firearm on the premises where he lives, five years after the disposition of his conviction.
However, federal law does not allow for a convicted felon to possess a firearm under any circumstances, unless he has been pardoned.
Fuck the feds. Don't listen to anything they say. You can always just say it was your girlfriends gun anyway if you have to use it outside your house. \
Federal law should never apply in Texas. We are technically not supposed to be part of the US at all.
