   I got a RTL wireless card, and HP's firmware wouldn't accept it, but it did accept a intel wireless card of the same family that was originally in it, and wireless is working great now.
   
   It's bizarre that USB wireless had so many problems and tbh I don't even want to know. It's a shit sandwich with a side of shit and a shit shitshake to wash it all down with.

   With some HP's you have to go into the CMOS settings at bootup and make some adjustments there to enable.
