I’d have to have a bachelors, and I didn’t feel like going back to get that, but I should have. When I went to RT school, there were only associate degree programs, now they have a lot more bachelors programs.
I was a college instructor for a GXMO program, but hated it because the students were treated like paychecks, I had to get the hell outta there.
Teaching is my passion, but I didn’t realize it till my 30s when I received some teaching awards, and was asked to be a guest speaker a handful of times at the state university. I have some sort of ability to captivate an audience.
The students today loved the class, and showed a lot of appreciation, that made my day. -

2019-05-04 at 6:52 PM UTCYou should try eliminating wheat and/or dairy from your diet if you have arthritis. Malice once posted why, something to do with the immune system and antibodies attacking joint tissue due to attacking molecules in the food first.

A quick google search establishes that dairy is both wonderful and awful for arthritis. I just need to lose weight and smoke more weed. Get my thyroid blood work done....and stop trying to hulk out and lift heavy shit when I clearly don't have the muscles do do it easily. Can I lift it? Fuck yeah. Will it hairline fracture my hand? Yeah prolly. -
2019-05-06 at 10:18 AM UTCCasper,
I found this excerpt from this article. I wasn’t sure what heroin’s affect on your bones were, so I looked into it. I’m sure there is more to investigate, but this is interesting. See last sentence!
“ Effects of chronic heroin abuse on bone and mineral metabolism.
Pedrazzoni M, et al. Acta Endocrinol (Copenh). 1993.

Abstract
Though the chronic use of opiates can modify several body functions, only a few data are available on the effects of opioid drugs on mineral metabolism. We have examined the possible consequences of chronic opiate abuse on bone mass, bone turnover and calcium metabolism in 13 male chronic heroin users, examined 1-2 days after the last administration of the drug (group A), 14 former male heroin addicts, examined 4-24 months after drug discontinuation (group B), and 22 healthy, age- and sex-matched control subjects. In group A, the vertebral bone mineral density (measured by Dual-Photon Absorptiometry) was significantly lower (p < 0.05) than in the control subjects, despite similar values of total body bone mineral, lean body and fat mass. Blood-ionised calcium and urinary calcium and hydroxyproline were significantly increased (p < 0.01), whereas parathyroid hormone was lower than in controls (p < 0.01). Bone alkaline phosphatase and osteocalcin, however, were not significantly different from the control values. LH and testosterone levels were low (p < 0.01 vs controls). In contrast, group B subjects did not show significant differences from the control group. The chronic abuse of opioid drugs may be associated with altered bone metabolism and reduced trabecular bone mass, attributable, at least in part, to gonadal deficiency. These alterations seem reversible after drug discontinuation.”
I just didn’t see it causing enough damage to cause a stress fracture. I think your age is in your side. You are not of the age where natural bone loss starts, and bone loss in men is very small. I used to do bone densitometery.

2019-05-06 at 10:32 AM UTCThis is gonna sound stupid, but I'm stressed out because I haven't played FFXIV in a while and I feel bad because I've made friends in that game and I've just kinda dropped off the face of the Earth from their perspective but I also don't wanna log back in because Reasons™. So I'm stuck in a perpetual loop of feeling like an asshole for not talking to my friends but not wanting to take the steps necessary to talk to my friends because I feel like an asshole or something. This is the epitome of 1st world problems, but goddamn if it isn't playing hell on my mood.

Yeah I know it's probably not that. But the pain and audible pop I get when moving that hand now...something's not normal. I'm sure I COULD fracture something if my 400 lb ass went outside and started jumping up and down. But the hormonal/ musculo- skeletal thing...if my muscles are super atrophied and weak, it's a hell of a lot easier to severely damage muscle groups or ligaments.
I'm sure I've got like 5 or 6 diff things going on, but I'm just grateful I can stand up at all. The fact that some of the stuff reverses is why I'm reluctant to get on thyroid meds. If the heroin is what actually precipitated hormone imbalance, taking meds could alter it in another direction. -

I know it’ll cost ya, but talking to a professional about this would probably help you immensely. I wish I knew more about it. -
