    Well you didn't tell me why you believe there's more third party software for windows to start, so I'm still waiting on that. I mean if you want to compare app store to windows whatever (marketplace?) I think apple takes it pretty easily. If you want to talk about the countless third parties that just distribute binaries on their webpages then I don't know how you intend to measure that.
    
    Also it should be pretty obvious how a metric like "number of apps" isn't really meaningful to consumers. Like the fact that there are many hundreds, maybe thousands, of antivirus products on the market for windows doesn't really give me much reason to prefer that OS over another.
