It is humorous placement like this they view could show up in some ap glitch later on.. That is how they view it. It potentially cause the shares or sales to soften

update: talked to my direct boss who's actually really chill and has backed me up on things in the past where he could have easily cut me loose. He says the dude way up who shat all over me yesterday actually found it funny but was obligated to reprimand me. It might have just been him trying to make me feel better but it's almost worse to think he was telling the truth, that doublethink is that real.

That's what they said. I'd be more sympathetic if not for the fact that I've been told to say nothing about security issues in the past. I remember trying to explain a timing attack to a room full of people who had never written a line of code in their lives and seeing their eyes glaze over, then being brushed off. The issue isn't risk to share prices, it's risk to share prices that a dickhead in a suit can understand.

I usually make some joke because lorem ipsum is boring. So I put in some stuff like "this product is known to the state of California to cause cancer". It was only supposed to be seen by QA who know it's a placeholder but the translation group got their hands on it and raised it to like my boss thrice removed. I got chewed out pretty royally lol, told that it was extremely unprofessional. Oh the joys of American corporate life.

its extremely unprofessional to put an innocuous sentence in lieu of "place holder" but not to miss said sentence during proofing

none in managerial position wants that.

There are A LOT of shitty managers out there. Most are shitbags that cheated their way into their positions.

No, it's true. They know it's much easier to get rid of someone who has more of a direct and focused impact on the business earnings or whatnot. They set the person up to fail. A completely planned execution, and everything comes out plausible enough in the end. I've seen it happen many, many times.

So that's likely why I had a manager trying to convince me to apply for this shit position. He later got in trouble for talking shit about me during a meeting.

Which is strange because that means someone told on him. But likely just to get him in trouble.

I've been thinking about buying a used tablet and using a public internet connection and leaving bogus negative reviews about the restaurant I work at to try to get less people to come in so I have less dishes to wash and my jobs easier.

Yeah especially middle management. If i wanted someone gone i'd just pick up the phone and make a recommendation to my direct superior.

Your direct superior wouldn't be able to do shit just because you don't like an employee. It's called legal.

Sophie claims to be from Europe and probably knows several languages fluently but I believe He/She is either from USA, Canada or if in Europe I'm going to guess Denmark. Because it might be Yonny
