    Well, they gave me a rental 2ish weeks after the accident, ended up paying out 750 for the corolla. They did get really jedi with the rental, they cancelled it 4 hour before I received payment. Needed a car to get a car... made bad choice... Just got back on the road last friday.
    
    The price I got was about %50 more than I spent on it, but that was fuck all and would have rather been mobile. A big headache that interfered with work.
    The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire!

    I worked from home for my last job, and had like no social life, so I was able to do without a car, but I took cabs to run errands, tho.

    That's best way to buy cars. Buy a certified piece of shit for $500 that's cheap on gas, drive it into the ground, then get another one and do the same with it. There's absolutely no sense in putting money into a new vehicle.

    100,000 mile warranty is nice...mine just bought me a brand new transmission last month (at 93,000 miles) and paid for the rental while it was in the shop, good for another 100k.
