It's not a bad or unusual cultural aspect. The French are like this too, as well as many other European nations (and more.) If you arent family/friends then they wont spend time making a connection with you. But once you are, you get treated so amazingly well.
America is kind of the opposite and it's totally socially acceptable to strike up conversation in the dog food aisle at Walmart and shit. I mean when I was a cashier (not at Walmart thank god) people used to tell me ALL KINDS of personal shit. -

When you're a muslim in india, and that food market had a shit-ton of muslims, and you see a westerner that doesn't speak your language or understand your culture, pointing and mumbling in a foreign language at stuff, yeah you're probably more likely to be hostile or annoyed.

I would think that is more true than the blogger making claims to "White people". And he didn't sound American. And honestly I thought he was Indian mixed with European. until I saw he didn't know any Hindi or Hindu language. but then again people from US or Europe or Australia or even Mexico etc.. who are Japanese may not know Japanese while visiting Japan.
He should of just got on a got damn Rickshaw. Where are all the women at? Do they make them stay home? It seems like only the higher educated Indians I see on videos of India are in places like Hospitals or Business. but the streets are a giant cockfest. Like it's the western USA during the 1980s and the way they got women to come to the West when it was mostly forest and deserts was to bring hookers from Europe or the East Coast to come out and settle down with men.

I hear the major cities are growing but the outskirts are really primitive. build a sewer system; nation wide .. hell the brits had the Irish and other grunt workers build theirs in the early 1800s? after a outbreak of cholera and other diseases occurred. I just have a hard time understanding why the Government doesn't have some kind of "Everyone volunteer" employment. must serve in the sewage building project for at least 18 months of their youth. others can start on cell towers or even lan lines and a power grid.
