You know the ephebephiles are a very curious case. They are the pedos that are into kids that are underage yet post puberty. When you consider that any 14 or 15 year old is really barely different physically to any 16 or 17 year old then it becomes obvious that the attraction cannot be about physical attraction and so you can only surmise that the attraction is simply because they are underage, and therefore is only about the forbidden fruit aspect. So with all that considered, by making it illegal and taboo to have sex with kids under a specific age you are in turn making the kids a sexuall target to those who get off on the forbidden. If it had never been prohibited in the first place, those kids would never have been raped or interfered with in the first place.
Most people these days don't even realize that the first age of consent laws were actually designed to prevent pimps from taking advantage of very young teenaged girls. It had nothing to do with the idea of people having sex with young teens as being wrong or disgusting. That ideology came from subsequent generations who had lost sight of the reason the law was imposed, most likely spawned by older women who felt they couldn't compete with prettier younger girls.

if this is true, then the reverse is also true, that since girls 14-15 is physically identical to girls 16-17, people who are attracted to 14 year olds are not attracted to them because of their age,
but rather simply because of their bodies that resemble grown women. -

Children don't know what is good for them and lack the experience and sense to make an informed decision, therefore they are incapable of making a decision on something as complex as sexual attraction. Its the same reason why you couldn't allow a child to be left to decide what to eat. A child would end up living on sweets and cakes and junk that was bad for them. If a child was to be left to go off getting into sexual relationships with strange adults it would be disastrous. Even adults struggle with this. Just look at how badly hurt many women can and do get all the time from relationships with asshole men. A child would have no chance defending themselves from that sort of shit.
