donating plasma

2019-03-07 at 10:21 PM UTCI know some of you niggers don't do this.
I do it about 20 mins away and it take 1 hr at the center, so I spend probably an hour and 45 mins from the time I get into my car and step back out at my house again, twice a week. 3 and a half per week total counting driving.
The rates have gone up on average since I started about 3 months ago, and this month I get $545 dollars for 8 donations. That's 8 hrs a month plus driving. I chat with the folks??? and read emails and stuff on my phone during.
Is worth it for me. Some places are absolute shitholes though, like CSL, but I go to Grifols which is spotless, uncrowded, and has really friendly & cool staff.
Check it out with dr steve brule -

No they take an element of blood as opposed to just blood. It's a new type of false altruistic hipster faggotry to tell one's followers on social media.
OMGZ like...saving livez! -

Except it's medically beneficial, and not collected for hipsters on twitter. Helps people with some pretty nasty shit iirc -

Oh of course I agree but like anything from giving money to the homeless and filming it, to any other form of charity; some people just feel the need to be seen doing it. -
2019-03-08 at 11:32 AM UTCRates are low as fuck here. That's probably because the only people around here that go there are looking for their next drug fix
Side note: the predictive texting thing just suggested "đź’‰" when I typed "drug"
Am I the only one that finds that disturbing? -
2019-03-08 at 12:30 PM UTC“Donate”? They don’t pay people for plasma anymore?
-
2019-03-08 at 12:31 PM UTCOk just read the entire OP not just the title.
What you are doing is not “donating”. It’s a business transaction. -
2019-03-08 at 12:35 PM UTCDonate is just a term that has stuck around since the times when people actually donated blood during war times.
Is is grammatically correct? No. But it just stuck! -

In Europe it's illegal to compensate people for giving blood. This is due to fear of disease as it is thought that drug users would be more likely to sell blood.
As a result we don't have enough blood products to go around, and therefore we import blood products from the US (the US is the biggest exporter of blood products in the world).
As a result a bunch of Europeans have gotten HIV, Hepatitis C, etc from American blood products, although testing is better now. -

So we buy blood products from America instead
Yeah, from what I hear it's basically giving up your body's ability to fight diseases effectively
This may or may not be true though and I'm too lazy to do research -

We have horrible drug use problems, and plenty of diseases to go round. That’s why I’m surprised. They do test the blood though. But I’ve heard that those instant tests are not too accurate. -

It’s not surprising that American corporations don’t give a fuck if they accidentally give people aids or some other incurable disease .01% of the time, as long as they meet their profit margin -

Well, if these countries are purchasing it, I’m pretty sure they know the risks.
