   I kind of dislike how hard alc tastes like it should be carbonated but isn't. Mixing it with pop helps, but not enough. Then it tastes like pop that went half flat.

   The only spirits I drink without any kind of mix/chase is scotch, and even then, I usually put a little bit of club soda into it (read: carbonated water).
   
   If it's single malt, and aged enough, I don't really need the club soda, but I usually add a bit anyway.

    (Half kidding... in the sense I'm not trying to start a dick measuring contest here... I usually "only" drink like 300-400ml of spirits, but some nights I will reach near, and even less frequently but occasionally, fully 750ml / a "fifth.")
