Indeed...those people who feel the need to get the latest version when the old one works just fine...an upgrade should offer significant improvement to the experience at a reasonable cost. The only real reason I considered it is because the battery is dying in mine and it's a PITA to change it out on an S6...but for $16 a month I can instead buy a new battery on Ebay for $16 and do it myself...no upgrade necessary!
Now if the S7 "upgrade" had been $5 or something (like it used to be in previous years when they still had the 2yr contracts) then I'd have done it...but fuck em! as my old mom used to say.
That's why apple are not doing so well on the new phones...the dumbos are finally getting a clue that the $1000 phone they bought last year is still fine. -
