Rejection of the world is literally a part of christian worship. For instance in Lough Derg you stand in a hollow stone cross and say "I reject the world, the flesh, and the devil." three times.
I guess they picked it up from reading Nietzsche huh? -

jesus is/was a carpenter, the only thing that influenced him was the kind of trees that grew around his residence.
you have to be kind of a silly girl to believe everything that he alleged to have said was exactly verbatim what he said instead of being words that were put into his mouth by the people who were tasked with writting what he had said.
this makes me sad. -

You're jealous Jesus didn't appear in China.

Because the idea of Christianity as a life denying philosophy and a "slave religion" is a pretty old idea in western thought with direct lineage to Nietzsche. I mean the jedi conspiracy angle is a bit of your personal spin born of your deep feelings of insecurity about jedis, but even that isn't too far from Nietzsche's line of thinking.I guess they picked it up from reading Nietzsche huh?
Do you think that's what I'm saying? -

But Christianity is a based on a certain level of rejection of the world - some strains more so, some strains less. Why do you think Monks walled themselves off, and Priests chose to take vows of celibacy, poverty and obedience?
Did the Gnostics read Nietzche when they declared physical things base and sinful? Were the Desert Fathers inspired by Thus Spake Zarathustra? Did the followers of Savonarola read Ecce Homo before having their bonfire of the vanities?
All Nietzsche did was point something out - and pointing something out isn't the same as creating something.
And incidentally all I do about jedis is point stuff out.
