I don't agree. After 911 America regarded itself as at war, and they were going to fuck someone up.

Expecting them not to is like kicking a bull in the balls and expecting him not to go mental.

Iraq and the "Global war on Terror" was different, and almost entirely the result of the jedis enacting their PNAC/Yinon Plan agenda (the same thing, PNAC was literally run out of Tel Aviv https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yinon_Plan ). If not for them America would have stayed in Afghanistan, Saddam would still be in charge in Iraq, and the world would be a safer place today.

Plus it was fucking stupid and everyone knew it, there was no path to victory (no one wanted to invade North Vietnam for instance, and no one liked the South Vietnamese government), and in general no American really ever gave a shit about Vietnam.

except that everyone knows osama and afghans have nothing to do with it. especially the CIA. it was americans bruised ego that gave the congress / senate the power and the moral expenditure for the war.

sadam was what stood between americans and 'ethical oil supply'.

no, at the height of communist witch hunt going in into vietnam seemed and sounded like the moral thing to do.

    Go home!

Federal government employees faced with furlough and working without pay "Go Home", refuse a direct order that is illegal.

How would you get the idea out without just getting silenced? Plenty of people have done this. I started being followed around by black hawks and private sector security weirdos after I did this, to the point where I just gave up on it for the most part, and decided to keep the technology to myself.

Nuclear power was supposed to produce electricity that would be too cheap to meter, but it's only barely competitive with other power sources.

Also oil will always be wanted to fuel things like aircraft, cars and boats.

And unless LENR/cold fusion turn out to be a doable thing, which I would have imagined it would have been by now if it were possible, I imagine the big economic collapse will be when oil starts getting expensive.

Imagine oil costing $50 a gallon - it's very possible once oil gets scarce enough that people have to start simply doing without. That sort of expense will put a major hole in your budget, and make those who control the oil even more super wealthy than they already are.

even japanese cant getbit right with nuclear power the risk to reward ratio is just too high to make nuclear energy loveable.

also i think before the crash of 08 oil used to hover above 100 or somewhere below.

The problem with nuclear is that it tends to leak and cause cancer.

When medical tech gets better - meaning less expensive, corrupt and badly regulated, cancer will be less scary.

People could have annual scans for cancer for less than $50 quite easily even with current tech.

When cancer is easy to deal with, people won't care about a bit of radioactive iodine or whatever lying around.

or it could go kaboom and no advancement in medical technology is going to fix that.
