   An asteroid hitting the Earth..which btw isn't going to happen...wouldn't "end the world" anyway...it wouldn't even end all life on Earth...bacteria and shit is extremely hardy and would happily survive...bacteria has been found a mile below the Earths surface and at the bottom of the deepest oceans...those fuckers wouldn't even know an asteroid had hit the surface.
   
   It would pretty much take another planet sized object to "end the world" and even then it would probably just coalesce back into a planet give a few 10s of million of years.
