Someone mentioned to me recently that the government was shut down. I still don't really know what that means, and if they hadn't told me I wouldn't even have known it was a thing that was actually happening. Apparently the federal government can shut down and I literally can't tell the difference from when it was operating. Kind of makes me wonder why I bother paying the IRS at all. I guess things just keep on ticking without issue without the federal government. We still murder people over seas, alienate people from the excess value of their labor, I can still hire servants to fetch me food and transport me. Like shit, if our government doesn't do enough to make it noticeable when it's not functioning, and it produces endless corrupt horrible policy when it is running, why bother with it at all?

Alan What?
[annoy my right-angled speediness]
How would you get rid of the government and prevent another government from replacing the previous one?

I don't know, I don't have the blueprint for anarchist revolution. Maybe you disseminate martial power or something? Or install a minimalist state whose function is basically to prevent the formation of a more expansive state?
I'm not actually trying to defend anarchy/minarchy. I just think it's kind of funny how little my life has changed in the apparent absence of a federal government.

Did you hear about the damage caused to Joshua Tree during the shutdown that will take nature about 300 years to recover from?

The blueprint for anarchist revolution is pretty simple: global, life ending cataclysm that effectively dismantles any pretense of "state", from which we rise like a phoenix to reform civilization as a stateless society. Anything short of that is doomed to failure.

You are not the only human being in the United States Lanny. Even though you personally have not been effected, and trust me I’m farthest from the awareness spectrum when it comes to politics ... but you would be very surprised how the shut down has effected the most unlikely of lives and business.
All the other stuff you mentioned, I can’t comment on since my political IQ is that of a potato

A baked potato, Mews?
I'd like extra butter and sour cream, please.
OT: Lanny, is it within your vast expertise to extrapolate on your vision of what anarchy without government might look like, if it were up and running? Thank you.

You didn’t feel effects because mofo’s were workin unpaid, knowing they would get paid...eventually.
Humanity is always a week away from anarchy. Maybe 10 days. Whenever niggas run out of food, the shooting starts. Most of you mofo’s couldn’t kill and dress a deer or grow a an ear of corn,so I’d imagine niggas would go down quick. Be blowing dudes for chicken livers.

Do you like asparagus?
I know that's an odd question this early in the morning but a lot of people don't like asparagus, or have never eaten any.
At any rate -- it is planted at the dark of the moon, you know. It's a root plant. I've heard tell that when one plants asparagus root it takes upward of 7 seven years to harvest the first crop.
But Brussells sprouts produce the first year, same as kohlrabi, but they thrive on cool to cold weather conditions. Not uncommon to enjoy the fruits of one's labor by as early as late February.
Are you aware that the mentioned vegetables, not to mention the whole class are of the same family. Does the term "coli" have a frightening effect on whether folks like vegetables, or not?
