She was no a visionary. She just wans't a retard and put her focus in future oriented tech rather than past/ancient tech. It's easy to predict where tech will go if you're in the field already. Doesn't make us prophets or visionaries. -

I had a teacher who was convinced that computers were going to make humans slaves until our race finally dried up or whatnot...she got fired for refusing curriculum requirements -

Well, to be fair, at the time, the only people using it were techie types. It was not mainstream by any stretch of the word. Quite literally, only those INTERESTED IN COMPUTERS AND COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY was using it back then. -

Ya know grim, everything I say, you’re acting like a mom scolding her child. Get off my ass, or just leave me alone. Deal? -

No need to get defensive. I was just pointing out your factual, emotion based awarding, and other faults in regard to 1990s technology, technology of today, and the technology of the 1980s.
If you chose the name "technologist" because you once held a job in the field in the 1970s, great. In fact, you could probably teach me a thing or two as your instant reference was TAPE DRIVES. Past that, you need to leave the past 30 years of tech to...well...people younger than you, darling. If you didn't stay in it, you won't win it. -

2019-01-29 at 11:40 AM UTCHoney I chose technologist because I’m an imaging technologist, and still am. Radiology computers are on the cutting edge of technology, and I’ve been a super user for years.
But, hey, I know nothing, lol -
