    They are. You can use your phone take an impossibly realistic photo of someone, and also have it rendered in any style you want. It's literally so uncomplicated that it can be made programmatic. It's just marks on a surface.

    Just think of the image you want to make in your head, then draw it dummy. If your hand fucks up at drawing the line, try again. Keep an eraser handy. There are no time limits. The only time limit is your patience.
