Social and political views is what makes or break a monetized YT channel. Every day there are certain words or phrases that might have been fine last year, but are now no longer fine.
Even if your channel is purely educational such as Louis Rossmann's YT channel that teaches people Macbook repair, because he overlays his video with lots of commentary, opinions, thoughts, etc. It could very easily be some offensive video to a large group of people now, in this 2019 world of limp-wristed gender-unknowns where you can't say anything to anyone without offending them or "me-too" followers (which has now taken on a greater meaning than it's original intention), to whatever an offended person could deem. If you can dream it, you can point the finger at someone and claim they offended you over it in 2019 USA. It's so fucking retarded.
Our society has become so scared of OFFENDING someone, and the younger generation at large is so aware of being OFFENDED that you basically can't speak (about anything, ever. At least, anything that challenges their viewpoint or is negative or perceived as negative) or go outside, lest you offend someone
So to monetize a YT channel that you choose to add your own commentary on that includes thoughts, political standpoints, religion, or other notoriously controversial shit while you're doing whatever your channel is ACTUALLY about, then fuck you. YT will probably de-monetize your channel.
