Paint Booth On The Cheap

   I have about 18x12' open area in my shop, surrounded by shelves and tools. It's enough to do some spraying of the occasional project I get where this might be beneficial. Any suggestions for protecting all my stuff easily?
   
   I'm thinking along the lines of 4 tarps attached at the 10' ceiling, and rolling them up around a small pvc pipe and attaching at the ceiling when not in use. The pipe can be attached to the tarp and keep the bottom spread out and stretched when in the down position. Maybe zip wall zippers for the corners?

   When it comes to paint the number one 'stuff' you need to be concerned about is your lungs. The prime ingredient in modern urethane paints is some sort of xxxxxx-isocyanate. Isocyanates are about as toxic to the human physiology as anything. You need a respirator that feeds fresh, outside air...not a enhancement Everything else is secondary Every autobody painter i kmow who is 'old' and been using paint carelessly has serious mental issues

   I cook isocyanates in silk underwear and NOTHING ELSE and those mental issues are called PAINTER RAGE my mother used to work with TOTES 1000US GALLONS of this shit and you dip your entire arm holding a sponge and slosh it around, the fumes are good for you. Every paint booth I ever worked in was air tight with fans and a heat thing that makes it dry fast. Like a giant walk in fume cupboard
