It has nothing to do with degeneracy.

What it has to do is the almighty dollar, and cutting costs.

I believe LA is more populated now.

NYC is very populated but it's numbers haven't changed much since the 70s. so it's losing it's most populated city in America status.

I think London Metro England is now more populated that all the 5 boroughs of NYC.

This is unfair. So many commute to the tiny city of NY while LA is this massive fucking sprawl. It may be less populous but NY is clearly more congested.

It is more congested. and though San Francisco is a small city of 800k it has about 1.3 million to 2 million a day on the busiest days during tourist season and people working during the day.

it is really fucked up and congested. and all the highways are crawling for hours. not as far as a drive as LA but still

Be happy you don't live in China, where traffic is so bad in some cities that the government makes everyone take turns using major roads, and will ticket you via spycam if you disobey.

This is if you can even afford the car and city license plate.

I heard they took blueprints from an American car like a Chevy Impala and then the blueprints of a Japanese car and then stick them together to look like a whole new car and brand it chinese. they reverse engineer cars and fuse them together. this is apart of the weird "not respecting trademark laws" that upsets The Donald.

or they print shit up like disney stuff and not pay any royalties.. i mean everything .. not just USA>

they're all about business and don't understand the concept of copyright/trademark LOL

Well the original copyright and trademark laws had limitations. then the Disney Law (where Walt Disney) had pushed congress to do something like make a 7 year trademark before being public domain turn into 88 years (or something like this.. maybe 66 years). without looking it up

I agree.. because right now, Copyright laws can be extended. clearly lawyers did this. but anytime a person makes a song now (usually a young 20 year old making his first albums) they end up getting sued because their music is close to that of a former band.

I kind of think this is why it's safer to make money as a DJ because musicians can't really collect on DJ's works of mixing sounds. it's difficult to sue a DJ (unless its a radio station and has to pay a license fee)

just my humble opinion with some clear facts. but I accept a time period.. just not 88 fucking years. Fuck Walt.

Yeah, I was a bit off on the numbers. I think someone told me 88 years.

but here is the info of Creative Commons extended. the 1976 act (printed on VHS tapes?)

haha we're at the first year for the 1998 extension

    "2019 or later"

In 2024 (5 more years) anyone legally can print up Micky Mouse without it being a "Parody" image. it's going to become Public Domain.

works made in 1923 or afterwards that were still protected by copyright in 1998 will not enter the public domain until 2019 or later. Mickey Mouse specifically, having first appeared in 1928, will be in a public domain work in 2024[5] or afterward (depending on the date of the product) unless the owner of the copyright releases them into the public domain before then. Unlike copyright extension legislation in the European Union, the Sonny Bono Act did not revive copyrights that had already expired. The Act did extend the terms of protection set for works that were already copyrighted, and is retroactive in that sense. However, works created before January 1, 1978, but not published or registered for copyright until recently, are addressed in a special section (17 U.S.C. § 303) and may remain protected until the end of 2047. The Act became Pub.L. 105–298 on October 27, 1998.

You know that's totally legal in China right. Any Chinese person can start selling pooh bear shirts or whatever. They aren't breaking any trademark laws because there aren't any.

This is why Chinese people don't buy Chinese.

Regulation would probably boost the economy significantly once trust in Chinese products returns. But they'd have to be independent of being Christmas elves for that to be a viable move

that is kind of a contradiction because they don't acknowledge or honor global copyright or trademark laws. yet they don't buy chinese neither? so they're willing to make and sell them to other people but Chinese still would buy a Poo Bear shirt or toy from American made??

Not even close... New York City metro area = 20 + million... LA metro area has 13 + million...
Dude why would you even question me? Instead of saying you believe something (that is usually wrong)... why didnt you fact check my original assertion? And, subsequently, only dispute it with truth? Please quit consistently misinforming people on this website.

Where are you getting your stats from?

Manhattan has 1.2 Million at night, and during business hours can have up to 2.5 million

Brooklyn has 2.3 Million but during business hours it reduces down to about 2.

Queens has about the population of Oakland (around 700k)

    Bronx has maybe 7-800k

Staten Island has like 300k at best.

with other areas around it, maybe another Million? so about 8 million is the population. I know there are signs saying 20 million but it's not that populated.

The U.S. Census Bureau has estimated New York City’s population at 8,622,698, as of July 1, 2017. This represented an increase of 447,565 residents (or 5.5 percent) over the April 1, 2010 decennial census count of 8,175,133. Post-2010 growth translates into an average annual gain of about 62,000 persons, or a compounded 0.7 percent. The city has not witnessed such a robust pace of growth in over a half-century. Population growth has been fueled by the continued surplus of births over deaths (partly due to record high life expectancy), which has been partially offset by net outflows from the city.

San Francisco bay area has close to 7 Million people. but there are like 60 cities, many with 75-100k in each.
