    they have a trucking school. they then put you to work for 17 an hour. it's the starting pay.
    
    get a HazMat AB or whatever they're called and you will be making like 50 an hour driving some unknown chemical or radiation contamination.. barling down the highway.
    
    good pay. try and get locals (local means less than 500 miles)
    
    most trucks now are ridding the manual shift. a lot of them now are automatics.
