It's kinda like drinking causes your enjoyment of this site to go up 1000x. And then you get "addicted" to the "synergy." One is not the same without the other, and this place is most definitely not the same sober. It's a completely different experience.

Anyway, best of luck OP, I'm in the same boat.

And thanks to Lanny for keeping the site open, and to everyone for listening to my depressing retardation all these years

i used to come/go online when i was drinking because theres no other safe space to do it but after some while i eventually began to associate being online with the desire to drink

in the same way a lion salivates at the sight of a deer.

Alcohol leads to a disease of the liver . either fat of the liver or straight up scaring.

this raises your blood pressure because the liver is like a sponge. if it's scarred nothing passes through it, causing what area left to work, work harder.

creating an affect like a hydraulic system in your circulatory system.

kidneys goes next. stop drinking so much alcohol. drink one a night (like half a glass of wine or two finger of vodka or something)

no more. if you can't stick to this rule then don't drink at all.

In Russia, they knew how to drink in moderation for the most part. now Alcoholism is the worst the country has ever seen. they drink Vodka and Beer

    literally the opposite is true.

Vodka was popular and almost never drunk in moderation during the cold war and fall of the Soviet Union because life was tough in general and vodka was easy to make on the cheap.

Kids who grew up from 2000 or so are unlikely to drink vodka, beer is more popular. Or krokodil I guess

The kids in Russia are drunk and rolling around in public. it's really sad. I just saw a documentary on youtube.

The russian people got 1 bottle per month. that bottle had to last all month. sure, many drank in one or two sittings and looked for other peoples vodka. but there was a 1 bottle vodka rationing.

the kids today can drink beer because it's considered a "Soda" in russia at 3-5 percent alcohol. it's expensive though. Vodka is still cheaper.

Officially yeah, but a lot of people made their own. Vodka was a sort of black market currency at the time.

This is not true anymore; it was only during the aftermath of the fall of the Soviet Union. Before that there was really no market for beer so they didn't bother 'scheduling' it

***as of 2011 apparently. I thought it was earlier
