    I just took it for face value.

    It would be a weird thing for a father to troll. I am curious how the child died. was she sick or did something happen. not details but just wondering if she was sick all this time or if something happened in her home or something like an accident.

    You never know what a person will say when someone close dies. their behaviour can be a number of things depending on their state of mind at that very moment.
