These holidays will never be the same for me or any of us, really. My grandmother passed the day after New Year's 2016...twenty feet from where mom did. My aunt's house is basically a hospice at this point.

I saw you talking about her being ill, I’m so sorry. I’m sure this will make the holidays weird for you. I visited my 92 yr old mom Saturday, it looks like we are losing her as well. I’ve not seen her this sickly. I even thought I hope she doesn’t die during the holidays. It’s supposed to be the time of coming together, not losing our family :-(

To be honest, I'm kind of surprised you posted it here of all places, where tact and civility tend to be greatly lacking.
But then I remembered how earlier there was a lot of discussion on here about how so many of us grew up with each other. Most of my role models as an adolescent and young adult were fellow Totseans.
We could always come here to vent about anything, or to just shitpost to get some lulz, it didn't matter.
Totse/Zoklet/NIS really is like a family.
