In general: you would rely on the credibility of the book and author. For example, if it's being used as a textbook in Harvard, you're probably safe.
For me in specific: I've already read them, which is how I came to make my recommendation. -

Is skills of holding a scalpel apart of the IQ test? the bodies ability to know how to overpower any neurological disabilities? like the person who can't overcome his or her parkinson's shakes vs the guy who can't utilize calculating mathematical numbers faster than others can.

why shouldn't this drop his IQ points significantly? because he had a form of retardation that his body burdened him with? the same can be said for the guy who has a delayed time in thinking the right answer up.

I took twices as long and got an IQ of 30 because of it. I was to do 80 answers in 45 minutes (or 30 or some shit) I did 40 out of the 80 before time was up. I got an IQ of 30. but tell me this. I only did 40 and got 39 of the answers right. so my speed factored into this (gabapentin)

The theory is a model for explaining actual, empirical observations of behaviours in nature. That's the starting point, nobody just pulled QM out of their ass. Each correct prediction by a theory increases the likelihood of the theory being correct. QM is not any different.
We can't deductively prove anything, science is the realm of synthetic statements, we use statistics to bolster our confidence in theories; we can say through repeated experiments that we either have the right answer, or the alternative is that we are getting consistent results by luck on the order of winning the lottery 6 times in a row. If you want to cling to that alternative hypothesis then great, but the rest of us are fine with saying we have 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999% confidence in the explanation.
I don't think I've ever claimed to know reality with any greater precision than "99.9999999999999999999999999999999999%".
