We examined whether BOLD activity associated with a deletion variant of the ADRA2b gene coding for the α2b adrenoceptor modulates EEV in humans. Relative to noncarriers, ADRA2b deletion carriers showed higher levels of perceptual vividness, with the ventromedial prefrontal cortex (VMPFC) showing greater modulation by EEV. Deletion carriers were also more sensitive to the featural salience of the images, suggesting a more pervasive role of norepinephrine in perceptual encoding. Path analysis revealed that, whereas a simple model by which the amygdala modulated the lateral occipital complex best characterized EEV-related activity in noncarriers, contributions of an additional VMPFC pathway best characterized deletion carriers. Thus, common norepinephrine-related neurogenetic differences enhance the subjective vividness of perceptual experience and its emotional enhancement.

They do cause euphoria.Some individuals with PD use excessive amounts because they experience a feeling of well-being ( euphoria) with high doses.They become addicted... The thing is they have many side effects. Thats why they aren't used recreationally that much. Too much risk for too little reward. -

So, what you've done here is assume that a group of people (punk people) show these traits which you assume they all have "shameless degeneracy, nihilism and hedonism, individualism, non-conformity, and openness, rampant open drug use, living fast dying young, crime." Then, when POC says "Fuck those kinds of people" You tell him that these kind of people, whom you just described, "are just people man" and that POC should totally be friends with degenerate, rampant open drug using, live fast die young criminals. And again, this is a style of clothing/music choice.
If there is anybody here who doesn't know how the world works, it is you malice. You are the person with the least real life experience here. For you to suggest POC go out and befriend punk people in search of "intimate relationships" is downright laughable. -

I have friends, I just keep a close and tight circle of them and avoid allowing any of them to get too close to me. My unhappiness has extremely little to do with loneliness. The fact you suddenly think interpersonal relationships are the cure to existential depression makes me think you're smoking crack or something. -

She's got you fucked up if she thinks the solution to your situation is to leave your own goddamn house to let people who are taking advantage of you have their way. Sure that allows you to avoid confrontation and assess the situation better but it also lets them win and sets a bad precedent. I've been drinking liquor for like an hour so take that with a grain of salt but it still doesn't seem right to me.
