Carmel? it's a town. a 3-4 block town that Dirty Harry ran as the Mayor of (Clint Eastwood) for a while.
it's just a town. not the best beach weather and highway 1 cuts you off from the simple cross an old highway in the old days. now it's Dodge cars before getting ran down. there doesn't seem to be any cross bridges (unless they've built them recently)
Did you go to Monterrey. Any asshole who says "Monterrey is just a town.. it sucks" hasn't hit the bar- hops up closer to the hills (I forget the street name)
stay in Indiana. it's not so bad, but it's no California. California has micro climates. you can freeze to death in one hour yet climb in a car and in three hours be getting a tan on the beach. You can die of thirst in the desert and in a few hours be sipping pina colada's in a quaint fucking hotel room or kiosk bar that you peddle along with.
You can hang glide down onto a beach and then go kite surfing in a few minutes.

The trick is to preboil the pill mass in an aggressive solvent first and then doing the standard tetra trap extraction and enhancementing it while hot and multiple recrystallizations
