    Being born and living near natural non man made bodies of water my whole life, is what I will always miss. I miss the casual laid back life of Santa Barbara .. but I had to prioritize my life, and my family (adult kids) are and will always be most important. That’s why I moved.

    Thats what bothered me about California is how artificial everything felt.
    You went from ugly man made wannabe oasis to gritty industrial waste a few feet away.
    Indiana is just lush nature everywhere it really is paradise.
    I love my homeland I just wish it wasn't so backwards in regards to drug laws.
    My mom and I walked into a grocery store around 10pm - 12am and couldn't buy alcohol because of some dumb law so we had to go to some creepy local bars.

    It’s nice to hear people talk fondly of their home. It’s funny though, how we overlook the bad (as with most things in life) when there is enough good to over shadow it. I drove west on 70 to IL. The only place I actually saw of IN looked like Compton.. it’s where the freeway ends and you gotta drive through town. I knew that couldn’t represent the whole state of course, but it did leave an initial impression on me.
