While I am a female, I do understand what you are alluding to in your post.
There used too be a time when men and women on the Internet communicated with some decorum and respect. While serious conversation was appreciated, so were times of joking, laughter, and having a good time with all members in the community.
There was a time when a woman or man could recognize the type persons, individuals they choose to associate with more regularly.
A man could be recognized by his jeans and a woman could be identified by her caring attitude.
Drunks, drugs, slandering of any area, pure filth, and sickening behavior with a sexual context are not appropriate -- either in real life nor the Internet. The Internet has definitely become a source of same and a place to be avoided more than engaged in. jmho
