I think Turkey just uses their geopolitical position and how they tricked the west into thinking they were the the most liberal and moderate power in the middle East to gain power and try to make themselves a figurehead. They're snatching up refugees reprogramming and assimilating at an alarming rate. What else would you expect from a country with such historic ties with Germany?
