why won't god let me be happy ?

   whenever i have a period of prolonged drunkeness, that is to say being drunk every night from drinking whiskeys for a week or two,
   
   i'd start to develope this burning sensation on my lips, as if they have been swabbed with hot chilli peppers. i assume this an early indicator of liver injury or damaged because it eventually go away if i stopped drinking for a few weeks to a few months,
   
   only to return if i again engaged in a period of prolonged drunkeness.
   
   why won't god just let me be and be merry ?

   no, i already have happiness right here in these bottles, its just that i couldnt enjoy it.

   I can't enjoy alcohol at all. I get this sensation of my spine twisting. Strong back pain when drunk. Probably something with my kidneys.

    I have my own apartment and of course I believe in free will and morality. I also kicked all drugs except the ones I'm prescribed. One month and four days "sober".
