According to PMs, Stendhal Syndrome sent me a "purple bullseye" tie-dye shirt, but I don't remember that at all. The usual. I posted a little bit more on Zoklet but still no big deal.

    Ok, well, I never said you couldn't have a username on the pre-web version of Totse. I said there was no password asked for or required to get on, and that's true, regardless of what o_RLY says.

    You couldn't use it at the same time as someone else. If you did, you would get the error message "that handle is already in use, please choose another". But there was no memberlist. It's just that server saw what usernames were already in use in real time.

    but in the threads, your username would show up if you posted a file.

    most people used the real time chatter. which was boggy at times with a dialup.
