Sad thread is sad. I lost a cat once too, hit me harder than when my grandma died, lol. Basically grew up with this cat. Makes me sad just to think about her now. I'm sorry about your dog, hope he'll be better. If not, well, stay strong. This too shall pass.

Technologist I wish you would die instead of your dog.

Thanks guys. Hung, only you, ya nut bag.
Well, I made an appt for her this Friday to see the vet and see if he thinks there’s anything I can do to make her more comfortable. I don’t think she’s in pain, but I want to see what he thinks.
Then I was laying in bed last night and I thought, “what if he says she should be put down?” I don’t think I’m ready for that, but I’ll do whatever I should to help her.
☹️☹️

You could always blow smoke in her face.

Well, I took her to the vet. He said she isn’t in pain. Her weight loss is likely due to kidney or liver failure. Not much can be done since she’s 13. He let me know she’s blind in one eye, half deaf, (I already knew that), and she’s basically confused. Doggie dementia. He asked if I still enjoy her, and I said yes. So I’m hand feeding her PB sandwiches and boiled chicken breasts. Her weight has seemed to level off. I’m gonna enjoy her as long as I can.
