Closing time is when you stop taking customer orders, not when you get to go home. I worked at a restaurant before and sometimes we would be there an hour after close because we had a busy night. Big whoop, we all had jobs the next day. You should have told him he still has 5 of his 8 dollars left to earn that hour.

My problem is my mailman. I've lived in this house for 35 years and have never had problems like the ones I've had since this new guy showed up a year and a half or so ago. I've just had it with this idiot.
I've paid a $7 late fee on my internet bill because I didn't pay a bill that I never received. I didn't fight it because I didn't think it was worth the trouble.
Mastercard tried charging me a $35 late fee on a bill I never received. I did fight this one and won but still got a condescending remark as I hung up even though I carry a zero balance, always pay on time and have a great credit score.
I get mail delivered to me weekly that is to the wrong address.
I have gone to the post office twice with mail that didn't belong to me to complain about my carrier and their response was that I should get "Informed Delivery" via e-mail every day. Apparently every piece of mail (except magazines and flyers) gets photographed and they mail me every morning with the mail I am supposed to receive that day. Now I at least know what I'm not getting.
On Thursday this week I was out cutting the grass when the mailman arrived. Because of the informed delivery I knew someone else received my bank statement two days earlier. I stopped him and told him of the problems I had been experiencing with his service. I got very little response and he only seemed to want to put his headphones back on so he could listen to his music. I told him that I wasn't finished and he told me not to talk to him like that. I, of course, told him we wouldn't be talking if he would only do his job correctly. He said something I couldn't make out as he got back in his vehicle. My response was "Just do your damn job."
My old mailman was a rather slow "good old boy" and we, on the few occasions we talked, usually talked about fishing. Yes, the new guy is black and I wouldn't care one bit if he could do his job. Let's say I live at 123 Oak Street and the street behind me is Elm Street and also has a house numbered 123. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten their mail. At least the old country boy knew the difference between an Oak and an Elm.
I really want this guy gone. I do not appreciate my Mastercard and bank statements being delivered to others at all. I've even gone now to writing "WRONG ADDRESS" in black marker on pieces that come to my house incorrectly and then putting them back in the Post Office mailbox hoping to get the attention of his superiors. I'm thinking I could possibly be running into union problems. I'm usually pro-union but, in this case, I'm hoping for some common sense.
Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

Don't want to and shouldn't have to.
