It's bizarre.
They're using the same avatars, listening to the same music and acting the same as I and my peers were a decade ago when I was in my late teens.
A lot of these kids are trannies or "queer" too ... It's really weird it's like they're trying to emulate us.
I see their profiles and I'm like "this is literally something I would have seen in 2008 or 2009".
It's really fucking weird ... These are kids who were only 6 to 8 years old when I was on the net as a late teens, with my Lain avatar and frequenting /mu/.
Fucking kids these days have zero originality ..

It also makes me feel profoundly sad.
That whole era is long gone and now I'm 27.
I would kill a trillion trillion trillion handsome and well tanned individuals and jedis just to be able to travel back to that time.
Seeing these empty reflections of my teen years is like looking at a photo album of strangers who have stolen your life while you live in the shadows, empty and alone.
Mentally I'm still a teen, but in the physical world I'm well aware of my flesh age.
I wonder how well it would go if I tried approaching these kids and tell them I'm trans-aged.
