Original Buildings before the 06 burned down the inbound area of San Francisco (Ferry Building)
I have seen these old reels from NYC and Chicago and Paris and such, they're facinating to see people. but only in San Francisco is it still lawless on the roads .. people doing uturns in front of trolly cars. it's hillarious. but it's facinating that I drove down this street this evening at one point and this is a parrallel San Francisco.. where Earth was Billions or trillians of miles away in another part of space.. still in sync with the sun and planets and the moon.. but everything has traveled in space
how much of that stuff is still here? most of it buried in the Marina District some 2 miles north. to fill in what is now the Marina District.
same Ferry Building.. partially rebuilt. but that's a shitload of of buildings they had even back then. some higher than what is on market right now. but still only half the height of a few buildings on Market. Market doesn't really have any skyscrapers. so this San Francisco Market Street is more uniformed in height. it looks nicer too. Wish I could time travel back then and yell out "I'm from the future. Many of you might die in an Earthquake in 6 years". wearing just shorts and a t-shirt. lol and flip flops. I wonder how the post victorian-edwardian whatever generation-slow-people would say or think. then grab a night stick from a cop and throw it at some random person and skip off.

People always forget. They're not fun. you get thrown around if you're on landfill because it amplifies it. I was on landfill at SFO when I worked there in 1989. It will happen. and this is the problem. In the 1800s from 1860 to 1906 there were like 4 or 5 quakes nearly the size of the 1906. 1888 I believe had a massive quake. outside of San Francisco
so as they're rebuilding.. shit falls down again. In Old San Francisco.. they just fucked off the building codes and waiting around for city officials.
